17-26節--耶穌是拯救人的主

約翰福音 第4章

許多時候，當我們嘗試向人傳講耶穌時，對方都會用一句說話來婉拒我們，他們會說：「嗯，你說的很好，不過，你有你的信仰，我有我的信仰，大家河水不犯井水」。經文中的那名婦人，正是用這句話來回答耶穌；請留意第20節，它的意思是說：「我們在這裡敬拜──你們在那裡敬拜，大家互不干犯對方。」

基督怎樣回應她呢？請再讀第23節。基督的意思是：真正的敬拜，是在乎敬拜的對象是否真實，而不在於敬拜的地點和形式。你會怎樣向別人解釋這點呢？

以下是一個建議；你可以這樣說：「對我而言，基督是真實地存在，祂時刻與我同在。祂是我的知心友，對我非常意義重大。」

能夠以這番說話見證我們的信仰，實在是很美好的，你說是嗎？不過，要真心實意地說出這番話，我們就必須在每天的生活中親身認識耶穌基督。有些人只會在星期日上教會，平日卻不會為基督而活。請反躬自問，耶穌基督在今天對你又有何意義呢？

經文中的婦人接受了基督的話，立即跑去告訴別人。第39至42節告訴我們，有許多撒瑪利亞人也相信了耶穌基督。有誰會料到，我們為基督所作的見證會影響至多遠？

讓我們每個人都同聲禱告說：「主啊，我渴望你真實地成為我的朋友，即如你真實地成為我的救主一樣；以致當我向別人傳講你的時候，能夠有實質的經歷與人分享。」


反思：只有到我們將來上天堂之後，我們才知道自己曾影響了多少人歸向基督。

Jesus The Master Soul-Winner
Bible Reading: John 4:17-26

Very often when I have tried to talk to someone about Jesus Christ, they have tried to hide behind a statement like this: Well, thats fine, but you have your church and I have mine and thats the way it is. That is exactly what the woman did in this story. Notice verse 20, We worship here - you worship there.

How did Christ answer her? Read verse 23 again. Worship must be a reality. It is not where we worship but how that really counts. How would you explain that difference to someone?

Here is a suggestion. Christ is a reality to me; he is with me always. He is my friend and means everything to me.

Thats a wonderful testimony to be able to give isnt it? To be able to say it, you must know Jesus Christ personally in a living daily experience. Some people come to church on Sunday, but do not live for Christ during the week. What does Jesus Christ mean to you today?

This woman accepted what Christ said. Immediately she began to tell others about her new-found friend. Verses 39 to 42 tell us that many of the Samaritans believed on Jesus Christ also. Who can tell where your witness for Christ will end?

Here again is a prayer for each of us. "Lord I want you to be such a living friend to me as well as Saviour, that when I talk to others I will really have something to share with them.

A Thought For Today: Only in heaven will we finally discover all the lives we have touched for Christ.
