1-14節--救人靈魂的耶穌

約翰福音 第4章

你有否留意，當耶穌在地上活著的時候，祂總是以行動來實踐祂的教訓。例如，祂說過：「人子來，是要尋找和拯救失喪的人」；在我們今天研讀的經文中，我們便看見祂照著祂所言的，拯救一個失喪了的人。約翰福音記述了超過十五個場合，是基督只與一個人單獨交談的──請回想路加福音第十五章，耶穌以一隻羊、一個銀錢和一個童子為喻，說明在神的眼中，每一個人都是十分寶貴的。

我們從經文看到，耶穌實在是刻意來到井旁，等待與那位婦人有談道的機會。這正好帶出一個值得我們思考的問題：我們多久沒有主動去接觸別人？當我們想推辭某項工作，許多時候都會託辭太忙太累。此刻的耶穌確實很累(6節)，可是，祂卻沒有逃避祂的責任，依然抓緊機會與那位婦人談道。而且，在談道之後，祂更發現疲累的感覺比前大減哩！(參看34節)。

耶穌與那名婦人素未謀面，怎麼開始話題呢？祂沒有用驚天動地的說話來打開話匣子，反之，祂只是用平常的說話與她交談：祂請她給祂一點水喝。基督是否在一大清早便禱告父神，求神帶領祂去拯救一個極需救贖的人？這種禱告，確實是神喜歡垂聽和應允的。今天，你也可以求神賜予這種與人談道的機會，並在日常生活之中儆醒留意祂的帶領。

耶穌如何由閒談，逐漸將話題帶到屬靈的事情上呢？祂首先引起那名婦人的好奇心，然後待她主動發問，祂的回答便直接觸及她那空虛的心靈。請留意，那名婦人主動說了不少，基督一直顯得樂意聆聽。我們呢？我們是否只爭著說話？我們是一個怎樣的聆聽者？

禱告：主啊，求你帶領我走進別人的內心，

主啊，求你教導我的口說當說的話。

Jesus The Soul-Winner
Bible Reading: John 4:1-14

Have you ever noticed that while Jesus was here on earth he himself did the things he taught. For example, he said, "I come to seek and to save that which was lost. Here in this chapter we find him doing just that, dealing with one lost soul. In the Gospel of John there are over 15 occasions when Christ talked with just one person on his own. Remember the stories in Luke 15. There was one sheep, one coin, one boy. Each is precious in Gods sight.

Jesus really went out of his way to meet this woman. That brings up a good question for each of us: How long is it since we went out of our way to touch a life? We use the excuse of tiredness very often, when we dont want to do something. Here Jesus was absolutely weary (v.6) but he still gave himself to the task of talking with the woman. He even found that he was less tired afterwards than before! (See v.34)

How did Jesus approach this woman? He used the ordinary circumstances watch for his answer.

How did Jesus turn the conversation to spiritual matters? He made the woman curious and as she began to talk he touched her unsatisfied heart. Notice how much of the talking was done by the woman herself. Christ was willing to listen. Are we? Or are we too often wanting to do all the talking? What kind of listener are you?
