Jesus and his disciples got in a boat and sailed to a quiet place. The crowds heard about this. They followed him on foot from the towns. Jesus saw the large crowds and felt deep concern for them. He healed their sick. When it was almost evening, the disciples said to Him, “There is no food here. Send the crowds away. They can go and buy food in the villages.” Jesus replied, “They don’t need to go away. You give them something to eat!” Jesus asked Philip, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?” Philip said, “Suppose we were able to buy enough bread for each person to have just a bite. That would take more than half a year`s pay!” Another of his disciples spoke up. It was Andrew, Simon Peter`s brother. He said, “Here is a boy with five small loaves of bread. He also has two small fish. But how far will that go in such a large crowd?” “Bring them to me,” Jesus said. Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down. Jesus took the 5 loaves and the 2 fish. He looked up to heaven and gave thanks. He broke the loaves into pieces, and gave them to the disciples. The disciples gave out the bread and fish and everyone ate until they were no longer hungry. The disciples picked up 12 baskets of leftover pieces of food. The number of men who ate was about 5000. Women and children also ate. 發言日期:2021/06/29 |

How many people were fed that day? Remember--only the number of MEN is recorded in the Bible as 5000. Women and children also ate! So Jesus probably fed at least 15,000---maybe more! 發言日期:2021/06/29 |
