認識神的人

《認識神的人，行事像但以理。》
但以理書說：「惟獨認識神的子民，必剛強行事。」(但11:32)英文聖經修訂標準本(RSV)譯作「惟獨認識神的子民，必站穩行事(stand firm and take action)」。從經文的上下文看，此節以「惟」(but)字引出，故相對於第31節中那「設立那行毀壞可憎的」、用巧言勾引作惡違背聖約的「卑鄙的人」的行為(參31，32節)。
31 Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate. 32 He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.
但11:31他必興兵，這兵必褻瀆聖地，就是保障，除掉常獻的燔祭，設立那行毀壞可憎的。32作惡違背聖約的人，他必用巧言勾引；惟獨認識神的子民必剛強行事。
這指出認識神的人的行動，就是對在四周運行、敵擋神的潮流的反抗。他們不能小視神遭受挑戰或被漠視；他們覺得必須採取行動；神的名受侮辱，激發他們為神榮耀而傷心奮起、撥亂反正。
