太 5:9 使人和睦的人有福了！因為他們必稱為神的兒子。
9 Blessed are the peacemakers εἰρηνοποιοί : for they shall be called the children of God.

The peace makers - They that out of love to God and man do all possible good to all men. Peace in the Scripture sense implies all blessings temporal and eternal.
They shall be called the children of God - Shall be acknowledged such by God and man.
上帝的獨生子來到世間，目的就是要使人與上帝重新和好，所以，「使人和睦」的工作正是上帝之子做的工作。而和好，又可譯為「平安」，在希伯來文，平安(shalom שָׁלוֹם )意為peace; Hello!, Goodbye; welfare, wellbeing; בשלום - safely; בשלום - peacefully, at peace「寧謐、恬靜、休息、把握、平穩、安全、和諧、康泰、圓滿、豐裕、昌盛、健壯、歡愉、社會與個人都得滿足」。所指涉的不僅是個人的身心處境，也指向國度整體關係的和諧。
