I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” 15 Then the LORD said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the LORD put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him.
創世記/ 04章 14節 あなたは、きょう、わたしを地のおもてから追放されました。わたしはあなたを離れて、地上の放浪者とならねばなりません。わたしを見付ける人はだれでもわたしを殺すでしょう」。15節主はカインに言われた、「いや、そうではない。だれでもカインを殺す者は七倍の復讐を受けるでしょう」。そして主はカインを見付ける者が、だれも彼を打ち殺すことのないように、彼に一つのしるしをつけられた。
