難堪的十字架

《The Contradiction of a "Crucified Messiah"「被釘十字架的彌賽亞」的矛盾》
※The obscenity of the cross explains Pauls early opposition to the church and its gospel. Paul was “ravaging” the church (Acts 8:3; a word that literally refers to a wild beast tearing at its prey, ripping flesh from bone);
十字架的淫穢解釋了為何保羅早期殘害教會及其福音。
保羅「蹂躪」教會,(徒8:3),這個詞實際上指的是一隻野獸撕裂它的獵物,從骨頭上剝去肉體。
徒8:3掃羅卻殘害教會,…
3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, (KJV)
@~
he made havock:ἐλυμαίνετο
λυμαίνομαι (3075):λυμαίνομαι lumainomai loo-mahee-nom-ahee:verb
Middle voice from a probable derivative of 3089 (meaning filth)
3809:λύω luō loo-o
A primary verb; to “loosen” (literally or figuratively)
KJV Usage: break (up), destroy, dissolve, (un-) loose, melt, put off.
3g)-to dissolve something coherent into parts, to destroy:把整體的分解、摧殘。
Like some furious beast of prey. So the Greek word properly signifies. Men and women - Regarding neither age nor sex.
希臘詞表示,像憤怒的猛獸一樣,對待不分年齡也不分性別的基督徒。
~@
he was “breathing murderous threats” at the church (Acts 9:1);
Acts 9:1掃羅仍然向主的門徒口吐威嚇兇殺的話,去見大祭司,
Acts 9:1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings威脅 and slaughter屠殺 against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
he “persecuted” the church “to the death” (Acts 22:4);
4我也曾逼迫奉這道的人,直到死地,
he was “furiously enraged” at the church (Acts 26:11); and
11在各會堂,我屢次用刑強逼他們說褻瀆的話
“tried to destroy it” (Gal. 1:13).
加拉太 1:13,怎樣極力逼迫殘害神的教會。
※Why? 為何保羅用這樣的殘酷手段對待教會?
It wasnt primarily because the church claimed that Jesus was God incarnate, nor because of any perceived threat to the Mosaic law or the Temple (although that accusation was raised; cf. Acts 6:13).
這主要不是因為教會聲稱耶穌是上帝的化身,也不是因為對摩西律法或聖殿的任何褻瀆(儘管提出了這一指控)
Acts 6:13設下假見證,說:「這個人說話,不住的糟踐聖所和律法。
The principal stumbling-block for Paul was that Jesus had been crucified. A crucified messiah was a contradiction in terms.
保羅的主要絆腳石是「耶穌基督被釘在十字架上」。 「釘在十字架上」與「彌賽亞」是一個矛盾。
One may have a Messiah, or one may have a crucifixion. But one cannot have a Messiah who is himself crucified!
一個人可能是彌賽亞,或者一個人可能被釘十字架。但是,一個人不能是被釘在十字架上的彌賽亞!
The concept of the Messiah evoked images of power, splendor, and triumph, whereas that of crucifixion spoke of weakness, degradation, and defeat.
人們對「彌賽亞」的概念是權力,輝煌和勝利的形象,而被釘十字架的概念卻是軟弱,墮落和失敗。
