十字架

What was God doing on the Cross? It appears that there are two questions being asked, not one.
First, “What was God doing on the cross?” Why was the God-man impaled on a Roman gibbet? It seems shocking that God should be crucified?
Second, “What was God doing on the cross?” Once weve agreed that the God-man was on the cross, we wonder, “what was he doing there?” What was he accomplishing through the crucifixion of Jesus? To what end and for what purpose was Jesus, the God-man, suffering?
尋求神在十字架上完成哪些工，即探討：
-①-上帝在十字架發生的事上做了甚麼？
-ⓐ-人子為何被釘死在羅馬的十字架上？
-ⓑ-人子必須被釘死，這太令人震驚了。
-②-當我們認同了人子被釘在十字架上，那上帝在十字架上做了甚麼？
-ⓐ-上帝在耶穌被釘在十字架上，完成了甚麼工？
-ⓑ-上帝為了：甚麼目的和要獲致甚麼最終的結果，人子耶穌必須受苦？
The problem is that there are growing numbers of Christians who are having an increasingly difficult time answering that question.
The reason for this is three-fold:
-(1) a diminishing sense of Gods holiness;
-(2) a diminishing sense of mankinds sinfulness; and
-(3) an inordinately increasing sense of self-worth.
問題是越來越多的基督徒難以回答這個問題，甚至認為耶穌有罪該死。
原因有三個：
- （1）對上帝的聖潔無感；
- （2）人的罪惡感缺乏；
- （3）過度看重自我價值。
Whereas I affirm the need for a proper self-image, I fear that many are fast becoming so impressed with themselves that they cant help but wonder why Jesus had to die for them at all!
雖然人需要一個適當的自我形象，但恐怕許多基督徒很快就會因過度重視自己形象，以至於他們將十字架當裝飾品，不知道為什麼耶穌必須為他們而死！
But when we look at the Scripture, we realize that the God-man, Jesus, was on the cross suffering the eternal penalty we deserved because of the infinity of Gods holiness and the depths of our depravity.
但是，當我們看到聖經時，我們就會認識到：因為上帝全然的聖潔和我們全然的墮落，所以，人子耶穌，必須在十字架上替我們遭受了我們應得的永恆懲罰。
