※What Does It Mean for Something to Be Biblical?

*The answer to that question depends on how you define “biblical.”
If you define “biblical”:
-ぇ-出自《聖經》的:simply mean “in the Bible,” then, yes, all of the bible commands are biblical.
-え-恪守《聖經》的:mean, “I must obey this command as a Christian, come heck or high water無論如何.”

When trying to determine whether or not we must obey a particular command, we gotta ask at least two questions.
Was this command a universal command given to all the people of God rooted in God’s plan for recreation for all time?

What is the immediate context of the passage?

*For example,
in James 2:24 James says, “You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.”
Well now. That seems confusing. Doesn’t Paul say over and over again that we are justified by faith alone?
As we read the verses before and after James 2:24, we can tell that James is using the word “justified” in a way that is different from Paul.

a)-He is not saying that a person is saved by their good works.
b)-He is saying that someone who is truly saved will demonstrate their justification by their good works.
In a sense, their good works “justify” their assertion that they are truly saved. It’s all about context.上下文
