蘇格蘭教會（CoS）5月19日於愛丁堡舉行年度議會，主題為「和平與你同在」730名來自蘇格蘭教會及敘利亞、南蘇丹及台灣等合作夥伴教會代表，共同出席年度盛事。2018年之於CoS格外有意義，除了是教會青年年（Year of Young People）之外，也是CoS接納女性擔任教會幹部屆滿50周年，因此本次議事討論與活動也特別融入女性與青年、兒童元素，並加強傾聽年輕的聲音。
5月19日，大會舉行就任儀式，蘇珊．布朗（Susan Brown）接替白朗寧（Derek Browning）成為CoS議長，她是CoS第４位女性議長，也是第一位同時擔任過羅斯和薩瑟蘭（Ross and Sutherland Presbyteries）兩處高地中會議長的女性。在就任儀式後，蘇珊．布朗主持本屆議事討論。
