這首古老詩歌的作者, 是一位富家子弟, 原本有光明的
未來,卻發現自己得了眼疾, 視力會越來越微弱, 直到完
全失明. 他考慮不要耽誤未婚妻的幸福, 就提出退婚,
後來未婚妻將訂婚戒退回了.在參加姊姊婚禮的次日,
新人的幸福, 對比自己的處境, 也許是諸多般感慨, 他寫
下了這首詩歌.

失去了視力, 失去了愛的人, 誰能安慰呢?

這首詩歌是用生命寫出來的. 我想也是聖靈的安慰!

中文版翻得很好, 但蠻文言文的, 昨晚我重新翻譯了.
