《心靈地圖》(The Road Less Traveled)的作者,精神醫生派克(Scott Peck)說﹕「簡單說來,我們的無意識,就是上帝。」[40] 據說,派克寫成《心靈地圖》之後不久,他接受了基督教。可是,他後來接受《今日心理學》(Psychology Today)訪問時,他仍然贊同自己在此書中的思想。[41]
基督徒心理學家,《心靈關顧》(Care of Soul)的作者,貝內爾(David Benner)博士說﹕「經歷神臨在、敬畏神、與基督聯合的奧秘、聖靈的引導,都是無意識的功用。上帝……在我們的無意識裡和我們相遇、和我們講話。再說得清楚明白,無意識是屬靈經歷的源頭,就是﹕異像、預言、『微小的聲音』、神同在的感覺。」[42]
