今天在〔荒漠甘泉乐侣〕上听着这首诗的音乐，一面思想其歌词。当我安稳在耶稣手中，又安稳在祂怀内时，我的灵就得安慰，患难也不能伤害我们。这是何等大的保障啊∼！

有一次，一艘船在途中遇到大风浪，旅客惊慌，有一妇人唱这首诗，众人响应。 安抵港口时，有一青年对她说：「我原以为我们都将葬身海中，这首诗歌使我心得平静与安慰。」

这首圣诗像母亲怀抱着孩子，坐在炉边摇椅上，轻唱的安眠曲，予人无限的安祥与恬静。 许多葬礼中也唱这首诗安慰丧家。 是的，当失去亲爱的人时，没有比知道他们已安稳在主怀中，脱离今世的一切忧患，更叫人得安慰。
