時時刻刻我們都在做選擇：
約翰與雅各都告誡我們，如果我們選擇世界為我們的朋友，我們就是與神為敵。
We are making choices all the time:
Both John and James warned us that if we choose the world as our friend, we are the enemy of God.
私たちは常に選択を行っています：
ジョンもジェームスも、私たちが世界を友達として選ぶなら、私たちは神の敵であると警告しました。

「不要愛世界和世界上的事。人若愛世界，愛父的心就不在他裡面了。因為凡世界上的事，就像肉體的情慾，眼目的情慾，並今生的驕傲，都不是從父來的，乃是從世界來的。這世界和其上的情慾都要過去，惟獨遵行神旨意的，是永遠常存。」(約壹2:15~17)
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world--the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions--is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
15:ヨハネの手紙一/ 02章 15~17節
世も世にあるものも、愛してはなりません。世を愛する人がいれば、御父の愛はその人の内にありません。16すべて世にあるもの、すなわち、肉の欲、目の欲、見栄を張った生活は、御父から出たものではなく、世から出たものだからです。17世も、世の欲も、過ぎ去ります。しかし、神の御心を行う者は、永遠にとどまります。

「你們這些淫亂的人(原文作:淫婦)哪，豈不知與世俗為友就是與神為敵嗎?所以凡想要與世俗為友的，就是與神為敵了。」(雅4:4)
James 4:4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
ヤコブの手紙/ 04章 04節
神に背く者たち、世の友となることは神の敵となることだと知らないのですか。世の友になろうとする者は、自らを神の敵とするのです。
