《基督徒必須追求真道》
徒 17:11 這地方的人賢於帖撒羅尼迦的人，甘心領受這道，天天考查聖經，要曉得這道是與不是。
11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.(ESV)

一個人若沒有依循聖經的真理，在追求的過程中，是會遇見並陷入邪惡之中的。基督徒，要站穩真理的根基，分辨錯誤的教義、假先知、假的神蹟奇事，也要知如何評斷現今錯誤的價值觀、大眾媒體的內容、新紀元宗教等，並且闡明什麼是誠信的品格。我們明白撒但是能化裝成為光明的天使滲透在當中的，我們要看穿牠化裝下的真面目。

《基督徒要能分辨》
來 5:14 惟獨長大成人的才能吃乾糧；他們的心竅習練得通達，就能分辨好歹了。
Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish {διάκρισις (1253)} good from evil.

《基督徒須按真道認識神》
弗 4:13 直等到我們眾人在真道上同歸於一，認識神的兒子，得以長大成人，滿有基督長成的身量，

《聖經真理是用來審查自己和造就人，不是用來審判人。》
林前 11:31 我們若是先分辨自己，就不至於受審。

太 7:1 「你們不要論斷人，免得你們被論斷。
