但4:24「王啊，講解就是這樣：臨到我主我王的事是出於至高者的命。
25你必被趕出離開世人，與野地的獸同居，吃草如牛，被天露滴濕，且要經過七期。等你知道至高者在人的國中掌權，要將國賜與誰就賜與誰。
24 this is the interpretation, O king: It is a decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king, 25 that you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.

在但以理書看到上帝知道且預知萬事；從創世記到啟示錄，祂的預知就是預定( His foreknowledge is foreordination)：
神是萬王之王，萬主之主，神的手掌握歷史的每一時刻，而世界的「歷史」(history)其實不過是「神的故事」(His story)，是祂永恆計畫的展現，而最終凱旋勝利的國度，是神的國度。因此，祂在世界歷史和個人命運兩方面，都有最後的主權。祂的國度和公義最後必得勝，因人或天使都不能阻擋祂。
It is seen in the book of Daniel that God knows and predicts everything; from Genesis to Revelation, His foreknowledge is foreordination:
God is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and God’s hand controls every moment of history, and the "history" of the world is actually just the "His story" of His eternal plan Show, and the kingdom of triumphant victory is the kingdom of God. Therefore, He has the ultimate sovereignty in both world history and personal destiny. His kingdom and justice will eventually prevail, because neither man nor angel can stop him.
