《Start from Beresheet》用心開始讀聖經

※Where it all begins…
*The Bible famously opens with the words “in the beginning,” but this is in fact an inaccurate English translation.
創1:1「起初」，神創造天地。
“in the beginning,”；「起初」：對希伯來原文翻譯不是很正確的結果。

*In Hebrew the original meaning is far more interesting; the first word of the Bible is beresheet, meaning “at the heading”. The root of this term is the word rosh (ראש) which means “head”.
在希伯來語中，原意更為有趣；聖經的第一個字是beresheet，意思是「在標題處」。這個詞的根源是rosh（ראש）這個詞，意思是「頭」。

*The head is not just the top of the body; it is the seat of the intellect and therefore the core of human identity. The Bible’s message is that God’s creation of heaven and earth is an intelligent, intentional process, not a random mistake.
