《Hebrew is the answer! 用希伯來文讀經就對了!》

※The Very First Human Name
*The first person created by God in the Bible is Adam. Although we tend to think of this as a typical first name like Thomas, this is actually not a name, but a label. In Hebrew it means quite simply “man”.
上帝在聖經中創造的第一個人是「亞當」(man)。雖然我們傾向於將此視為「湯瑪斯」、「多馬」這樣的典型名字,但這「亞當」實際上不是名字,而是歸類。在希伯來語中,它意味著「男人」。

*The word Adam comes from the Hebrew word adom, meaning “red” in reference to the color of the “dust of the ground” (adamah) from which Adam was created, according to Genesis 2:7.
根據創世記2:7,亞當這個詞來自希伯來語adom,意思是「紅色」,指的是亞當被創造的「塵土」(adamah)的顏色。

7耶和華神用地上的塵土造人,將生氣吹在他鼻孔裡,他就成了有靈的活人,名叫亞當。
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. of the dust…: Heb. dust of the ground(KJV)

※Amen, Amen I Say to You
*Amen is one of the shortest words in the Bible - just three Hebrew letters - אמן. At the same time, it is one of the Bible’s most powerful words, the supreme expression of assent.
「阿們」是聖經中最短的詞之一…只有三個希伯來字母…אמן。 與此同時,它是聖經最強大的詞彙之一,「同意」的最高表達。
@~
amen:אָמֵֽן
(543):אָמֵן
אמן âmên aw-mane

1-verily, truly, amen, so be it
~
(539) אמן âman aw-man

*The meaning of amen is a combination of “truly”, “it is established” and “so be it”. It comes from the Hebrew root אמן AMN which means “to be strong.”
阿們的含義是「真實」,「成立」和「認同」的結合。它來自希伯來語根 אמן AMN,意思是「變得堅強」。

*It is related to the word emunah (אמונה) meaning “faith”.

אֱמוּנָ֖ה :steady

※Praise Ye the Lord
Like Amen, Hallelujah is a Hebrew word that is always left un-translated. Hallelujah (הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ)( Praise ye the Lord.) is a compound word comprised of two Hebrew terms: ①Hallelu (“praise”) and ②Jah (“the Lord”, actually a shortened form of God’s most sacred name Yahweh).
像「阿們」一樣,「哈利路亞」是一個希伯來語,是直譯。哈利路亞(הַֽלְלוּ-יָֽהּ)是由兩個希伯來語組成的複合詞:①Hallelu「讚美」和②Jah(「主」,實際上是上帝最神聖的名字Yahweh的縮寫形式)。
@~
