I am 32 year old, divorced with 1 girl. I have 1 sister and 2 brothers. I am the eldest daughter in my family. Currently I work as a sales consultant in a maid agency in Singapore..I came from a poor family in Johor, Malaysia. My parents had to work in Singapore when we were very young. When I was 15 year old, I started to mix with bad friends, I learned smoking, drinking alcohol and wondering why I came from such family without love. Then I got married when I was 20year old just because I wanted to run away from my own family. After giving birth for my daughter, the situation had not been improved, I still couldnt live with peace. I went to all kind of Chinese temples or meditation,wondering why my life was such miserable. Then I thought no one was reliable, I had better to rely on myself. After I was separated with my husband, I went to Kuala Lumpur to pursue my own career. During that time I was 23 year old. I worked very hard and I thought I could be happy with my own but there was still emptiness for my soul. Until in the year of 2009, I moved to Ipoh town to start a new life because my ex-boyfriend was living there. He was working for funeral servicing company. By chance, I attended a funeral, there was a pastor preaching during the funeral service. I was touched and decided to look for a church. He knew a pastor from a baptist church so I asked him to bring me to attend the worship service. After attending for a couple of months, I knew it was holy spirit worked within me. I prayed to Lord that I was a sinner and I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. It happened when it was Dec 2009. I started to have fellowship in the cell group and decided to be baptized on 4th April 2010. I was a new believer,and the pastor made up the baptism course later. During that time, they were speaking in tougue and I felt uncomfortable and I started to prayed then I read an article about holy spirit ,the author was John Owen through internet. Then I went to Elim Ipoh Gospel Hall for worship service. After discussing with pastor, I decided to change my membership to Elim Gospel Hall.For that period of time, we decided to broke up because our religion was different (2 Corinthians 6:14). I submitted myself to Lord. I really had a hard time there. If not because of God, I wouldnt have got over it by myself. On the 16th mission conference held by the church, I submitted to Lord. I had been praying for about 8 months if I should move to Singapore to stay with my parents. Unfortunately, my grandma was very sick and a deacon advised me I should go home and share the gospel to my family members. Before moving back, I made a trip to Singapore to look for a church. Then God opened the door for me. I found Reformed Bible-Presbyterian Church Singapore. Then I moved to Singapore in October 2011. After praying, I got a job and started to work since Nov 2011.. Until last Wednesday I started to realize that why I live in a comfortable life and I could not do something for Jesus. I prayed again and I shared with 1 of my church friend on Friday and she advised me to attend a short term missionary to find out more if this is Gods calling. Afterwards I shared with another sister and she showed your website and she said she knows Margret Zingg who also served in OMF Taiwan. Then I shared the website to my deacon from Ipoh church and they will pray for me. Then I decided to write in to make inquiry. Tomorrow I will register for OMF SERVEASIA CONFERENCE 2012. I will attend the conference on 11 August 2012.Please pray for me if this is Gods calling.
